About Olivia
Hi there,
My name is Olivia but I prefer to go by Liv. I am in my fourth year at Otago University as an undergraduate completing a double degree in Law and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Communications (LLB/BA).
I am passionate about my studies and look to pursue a career in law after University potentially as an employment or immigration lawyer. I am offering my services in my favourite subjects from school: English, History, and Classics. I would love to help other students gain stronger skills in these subjects and love them as much as I did! In my spare time I like to produce graphite art and am a gym lover.
I am kind and professional but also know when to have a good laugh! Tutoring should never be scary or intimidating and I hope to provide a sense of comfort and familarity to the students so they feel confident communicating their needs and struggles adequately.

I am a friendly and approachable person who has strong communication skills with all ages.
I am looking to tutor multiple times a week for approximately 1-hour sessions. However, I am flexible on timing, location, and the style of tutoring in relation to the child’s requirements and parent's desires.
For primary/intermediate students: I am willing to work through class materials and homework. I can help with proofreading, speech writing, and aiding with other assignments and presentations. I can also offer tutoring specific to the child’s weaknesses in the respective subject.
For NCEA students: I am willing to help with internal and external planning, writing, study, and proofreading. To address potential concerns surrounding being graduated for 4 years, I have full access to my brother’s (2023 DUX) notes, internals, and external practices within NCEA English specifically to aid in the relevancy of the tutoring.
Overall, each child has different abilities and desired outcomes with tutoring. I am passionate about maximising a child's potential by creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
