About Ellen
I am a postgraduate healthcare student with experience in working with children from nursery to secondary school. I have a first-class honours undergraduate degree in Linguistics with a minor in Spanish studies.
I'm particularly interested in literacy and English grammar. English has lots of rules, some of which are difficult, hidden and hard to learn. I'll do my best to explain these rules to you in a way that makes sense. I know how frustrating it can be when everyone else seems to understand and use rules that simply don't make sense to you.

I work on a one-to-one basis with pupils. I aim to make sessions fun and exciting while working on specific aims that we have agreed on together.
I am very flexible and will work around each individual's learning style. My lessons can be geared towards any person. Sessions will generally begin with a quick review or refresher of what we're working on, along with 2-3 specific tasks. I'll always be prepared to give more support if something is challenging, and I'll always have something extra with me in case you need something a bit trickier to work on.
Everyone has the right to communicate, and to use language. I hope to support you to improve English in whatever way you need.
