About Nicole
I am a certified teacher in Ontario and Manitoba.
I taught ELA and Social Studies grades 7-9
I taught Elementary School French Immersion (K-5)
I have experience teaching in private schools in S. Korea and Thailand
Education:
-Bachelor of Education degree in English Lit (middle years / high school)
- Master of Fine Arts from York University (Screenwriting)

Lesson sample
1. Review tutor homework or current school assignments (whichever is most pressing).
2. Student discusses what is going well as well as areas where they struggle. (Self-reflection is vital for sustained learning).
3. Exercises/solutions are discussed.
4. Areas of concern are practiced to ensure the student understands.
5. We discuss next steps in preparation for the next class, assign homework as needed and students are encouraged to email their finished work ahead of time.
* Please note that students are encouraged to bring their school work to sessions (assignments, essays, etc). This often results in a greater impact on their learning because they are more invested in the results.
