About Rena

As a dedicated Year 11 IB student, I understand the challenges students may face when learning new concepts and keeping up with schoolwork. I aim to provide patient, clear, and well-organized tutoring to help students develop a strong understanding of Math and Chinese.

I offer tutoring for Year 6–9 students, with lessons available in both English and Chinese. I adapt my explanations to each student's learning needs and encourage them to ask questions, think independently, and build confidence in their abilities. Whether students need help understanding difficult topics, completing homework, or reviewing classroom content, I will do my best to provide focused and supportive guidance.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students understand concepts clearly and build confidence in their learning. I offer Maths and Chinese tutoring for Year 6–9 students, with lessons available in both English and Chinese, or a combination of the two.

For Maths, I explain key concepts step by step, demonstrate problem-solving methods, and guide students through practice questions to strengthen their understanding. For Chinese, I can help students with vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and schoolwork. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems independently rather than simply memorising answers.

Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs and learning progress. I can provide homework support, explain specific topics, or help students revise concepts they find challenging. The content of each lesson should be discussed in advance so I can prepare appropriate materials.

Lessons can be conducted online or in person at the State Library of South Australia in Adelaide. A typical lesson can be around 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student's needs and the content covered.

As a Year 11 IB student, I understand the importance of clear explanations, effective study habits, and building a strong foundation in each subject. I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My lessons are suitable for Year 6–9 students who would like extra help with Maths or Chinese, need support with school assignments, or want to improve their understanding of specific topics.
