About Sayak
If we're going to talk about my educational background, I have a master's degree in Psychology from the University of Calcutta. However, from a young age, I have been an ardent fan of English Literature and even writing my own pieces. By daylight, I'm a teacher but by night, I am a writer! I take writing and teaching seriously and welcome anybody who shares my passion for this language. Even if you're not sure you love English yet, even if you find it tedious, I can assure you that you will grow to love it once you start attending my classes.

My English classes are meant for high school students in classes 9-12. As a part of my class, you can expect your sessions to not just be fun and informative but also full of encouragement to explore your own creative boundaries.
We will start each lesson with an overview of what we have learned thus far, followed by your ideas and reflections (if any). Discussing concepts in English, we will talk about various ways of interpreting the same piece of prose or poetry, and there are no right or wrong answers! That, my friend, is the beauty of the language.
As a teacher, I am calm and patient, and love explaining concepts as many times as you need me to. I also don't believe that a teacher is superior to his students and I seek input from my students on how I can improve my craft (yes, I consider teaching an art form!).
Oh, and if you're taking in-person classes in one of my batches, there's free pizza (sometimes)!
