About Janay
Hi, I’m a dedicated and caring educator with 3 years of classroom experience teaching 3rd grade in the New Britain school district. While I’m new to tutoring, I bring hands-on experience with the exact curriculum your child is working with—including math concepts, problem-solving strategies, and test prep. I understand how to break things down in ways kids can really understand, and I always keep things positive and encouraging. I’ve helped many students grow in confidence and overcome their struggles with math right in the classroom—and now I’m excited to offer that same support one-on-one. Hi! I’ve been working with 3rd grade students in the New Britain School District for the past 3 years, and I’m very familiar with the curriculum and learning goals for this grade level. I specialize in helping children build a strong foundation in math through fun, patient, and supportive instruction.
Whether your child is struggling with basic operations, word problems, or needs help preparing for assessments, I tailor each session to meet their individual needs and pace. I believe in making math feel less stressful and more achievable for every student.
