I aim to make my lessons supportive, engaging and tailored to each student. Everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand what works best for you and adapt my teaching style to suit that. My goal is not just to help you improve your grades, but also to build your confidence and make the subject feel much more manageable.
In lessons, I break down difficult topics into simple, clear steps and explain things in a way that actually makes sense. I like to keep sessions interactive, with plenty of questions, discussion and practice along the way. For essay-based subjects like English, History and Classics, I focus a lot on helping students structure strong arguments, analyse effectively and understand exactly what examiners are looking for.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes long, but I’m happy to offer longer sessions (such as 90 minutes) if needed, especially in the lead-up to exams. A typical lesson might include going over previous work, learning something new, and practising exam-style questions with helpful, detailed feedback.
As someone who recently achieved all 8s and 9s at GCSE and is currently predicted 3 A* at A-Level, I understand the exam system and what it takes to do well. Because I’ve been through it myself not long ago, I can offer practical tips and advice that are directly relevant and easy to apply.
My lessons are for students studying English, History, Classics and other core subjects at GCSE level, as well as those studying these subjects at A-Level. Whether you’re aiming to boost your confidence, improve your grades, or push for top marks, I’m happy to help and will adjust lessons to suit your goals.
