About Ella
I'm a recent graduate from a top university, achieving a high 1st class degree, after getting 3 A*s at A-level and 8 9's and 1 8 at GCSE. I absolutely love chemistry, it helps us understand and appreciate the amazing world around us, think creatively to solve problems and help protect our future. At university I studied a wide range of specialisms, not just organic but also physical, biological and environmental, which I pursued to write my dissertation in.
I'm very personable, I love problem solving, pattern spotting. I love going to/ working at festivals and I have just returned from an adventure backpacking South America for 6 months !

Hi there! With me we would go through your strengths and weaknesses with chemistry to tailor our lessons and get the most out of your time.
Chemistry can be daunting at first, but through discussion we can conceptualise relevant and understandable examples, useful ways of remembering concepts and how to not only answer the exam questions, but also hacks to unlock all the available marks. A lesson with me would be around an hour, although I'm happy to accommodate breaks/ shorter lessons if required.
I'm a visual learner so I love making condensed notes, flashcards and mindmaps together to show how concepts link together, and help my brain to recall information even in a stressful exam setting. At uni my flashcard sets were used by all my friends!
I've worked with children and young adults previously, both in childminding and in teaching in a voluntary role.
