About Kay
I am a professional, supportive tutor with over 5000 hours of experience and a track record of proven results. Maths lessons with me are fun - we play a lot of games and I step up the challenge gradually so that students are always progressing but never overwhelmed. I find students benefit from an interactive style of lesson and one in which they are encouraged to try things out without fear of failure, so they get used to engaging in challenges positively and are not disheartened by mistakes or new content. I am a friendly tutor and I hope to inspire a love both of Maths and in learning in general.

All of my lessons are highly interactive and targeted - students learn by doing. What we cover depends on the students' aims and my ongoing observations of areas we need to develop. I pride myself on making lessons enjoyable, developing intellectual curiosity and confidence, and building a positive rapport with my students.

Kay has taught me violin with patience. I was a lazy student without much motivation to practise my violin, but her classes are fun and her kindness encouraged me to keep playing violin with apparent progress shown in a few classes!
Kay is a wonderful teacher, patient and dependable. So far, she has taught me violin online for around six months, taking me from total beginner to having the confidence to take on pieces independently. I really enjoy each lesson, and always find there is space to focus on what I want to improve on each week. I would recommend to anyone.
