About Isaac

I am an enthusiastic 27 year old with a knack for teaching and a passion for young people.
After finishing my first degree, I spent a year working in a primary school as a TA and LSA, from which I gained an understanding of how to work 1:1 with pupils and also experience working with SEN students. After leaving the primary school I spent an academic year working as a private tutor.

I have also spent two years working for the educational company Elevate Education, which delivers study skills seminars to students aged 11-18. This has given me a wealth of knowledge in how to approach revision and exam preparation, which I thread through my tuition.

My long term goal is a career in education and I am currently working on my PhD in History at UCL. I am hoping to further hone my teaching skills while helping you with a topic of your choosing.

My area of expertise is History, however advanced study in this topic has given me the skills to teach in any humanities or writing based subject. English is another subject which I have a real passion for having studied it up to A-level. That being said, I am familiar with all topics to a primary school level. My biggest asset in terms of teaching is my ability to engage any student and get them as passionate about a subject as I am. If your in need engaging and enthusiastic tutor, please get in touch.

Perfect! Our first lesson with Isaac was really good. Our son is not confident and Isaac was really patient in helping him understand that he can do Maths. Looking forward to lesson 2.

Isaac's response
Clifford is great at doing sums in his head, but needs to use some kind of aid to help him with larger maths problems. Hopefully we can work towards boosting his confidence, and find a method of doing big sums, that he feels comfortable with.

My daughter had her first lesson with Isaac last week and straight away he was able to build a great rapport with her. She was attentive throughout the session and had my daugher engaged and excited throughout. I have now booked him for weekly sessions with her. She is even excited to learn which she never was before!
