About Emily
I am a former French immersion student who is about to start university. I love the language and am eager to help others be successful in their learning. I've been tutoring for 3 years and have gotten to connect with so many students and be a part of their incredible progress.

I base my classes on the needs of the students, sometimes starting with basic sentence structure and sometimes jumping right into different verb tenses. I aim to have an engaging lesson with presentations, activities, and a variety of media as I often work with younger grades. With older grades I try to incorporate their interests into the lessons. Students are always more willing to write about their passions than about arbitrary topics. If you don't like the way I teach, I'm always open to feedback! Your success and comfort in my class is my number one priority.
What's a lesson like?
My classes often start with a review of what we covered last time, time for them to ask questions, and a homework check if applicable (yes I do give homework, sorry). I then outline my lesson plan, as I find that gives them a better sense of what's going on. My classes are meant for everyone and can change based on the individuals need.
