About Shari

I have a Bachelor of Arts and a DEC in Social Science as well as 6 years experience tutoring elementary and high school students in French, English, Math, Science and History. I have done my studies both in French and English.

About the lesson

Through my years of tutoring, I have learned that each student's needs are unique and I enjoy getting to know my student and creating a customized approach for each student. I can apply a conversational approach to improve conversation skills, or work on improving writing abilities by challenging my students with prompts and activities. I always create a lesson plan and goals that I set with the students so they are aware of and can feel pride in their progress.

Shari is an amazing tutor! She’s extremely patient, encouraging, and really good at explaining things in a clear and simple way. She makes learning English feel comfortable and relaxed, and you never feel embarrassed about making mistakes or asking questions.
She’s also fully bilingual in French, which is a huge help when something is difficult to understand in English. She knows when to explain something in French and when to encourage you to keep practicing in English.
She’s helped me improve my vocabulary, pronunciation, and the way I express myself more naturally. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their English and become more confident speaking.
