About Cecile

Bonjour! My name is Cecile G. I am a UK-qualified French teacher with 12 years of experience teaching adults and school pupils (GCSE & A-Level). I specialise in building confidence in conversation and helping students achieve exam success. My lessons are tailored to your level and goals, using interactive activities, exam strategies, and real-life speaking practice. Whether you’re looking to speak French fluently, improve your grades, or join a small group for conversation, I make learning French effective, engaging, and enjoyable.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring

I take a student-centred approach, tailoring every lesson to each learner’s goals and level. Whether you’re an adult wanting to gain confidence in conversation or a pupil preparing for GCSE or A-Level French, I focus on practical, engaging, and results-driven lessons.

Techniques & Methodology:

Active conversation practice to build fluency and confidence

Exam-focused strategies for pupils, including mark-scheme analysis, past papers, and oral preparation

Interactive tools such as digital whiteboards, quizzes, and role-plays to make learning fun and memorable

Structured feedback after each lesson to track progress and set clear targets

Lesson Length:

Adults: 1 hour standard (flexible depending on your goals)

Pupils: 30–45 minutes for GCSE, 45 minutes for A-Level

Small groups: 45–60 minutes, designed to maximise speaking practice while keeping attention focused

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualified French teacher with 6 years classroom experience

Experienced in teaching adults, teenagers, and exam-focused pupils

Background includes both academic teaching and real-world language use.

I aim to make French enjoyable, achievable, and relevant, helping each student reach their personal goals while feeling confident and motivated.
While Superprof shows a ‘first lesson free’ option, my lessons are paid from the first session. I do offer a 10–15 minutes introductory call to discuss goals and your level, so you can see if my lessons are a good fit before booking.
