About Lou
Hello !
My name is Lou Gomez and I’m a French student. I am passionate about social sciences and politics and I have chosen to complete my degree this year at the campus of University of West of Scotland in Paisley.
French is my native language and I have passed a literary baccalaureate with a good mention. This allows me to provide some quality lessons. Indeed, I currently teach to student who want to success in national exams in France. Teaching in Scotland would help me to improve my English level but also to share my experiences and my skills.
It would be an honour for me to help you to improve your level in French or just to introduce you to my culture. We could find fun ways to learn French around various workshops or simply by talking. I can also prepare structured courses on grammar, modal time and French conjugation. I can adapt to all levels and I will be able to recommend readings according to your desires and skills.

First I conduct an interview with the student in order to analyse his current level, objectives and preferences. Indeed, it is very important that the lessons are interactive and that the subjects studied are enjoyable.
Then I build the courses to reach these objectives, the form of which can vary from one course to another depending on the objectives targeted. Generally speaking, oral comprehension is in the form of discussion and small exercises, reading will be guided by questions about selected texts (and read in class) and we will write documents together.
But it all depends on the student's level and expectations. For the most beginner for example, the initiation will pass through the learning of French in its most classical form: grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, but also with more playful workshops such as studying French music and videos...
For the more advanced with specific objectives such as improving writing, I would teach how to write and structure an argument.

I'm studying and living in Paisley so I give classes in Paisley and its surroundings, which includes Central Glasgow and the surrounding cities. Beyond this area, we can negotiate but additional travel costs will be considered.
