About Bénédicte
Born and raised in France, I obtained my French "baccalauréat" in La Source, France. I later obtained my BA of Arts (in French and Spanish) from SMU, Texas, and my Teaching Certification from Texas A&M Commerce. I have taught French at Dallas International School (IB track), and at Trinity Christian Academy (AP). I tutored while teaching with both my own students, and other students. • I like to help in general. It is exciting to me when someone needs/has the desire to learn about the French language and culture, and I can fill that need. There is nothing more rewarding to me than witnessing those "Aha" moments from a student, and seeing him/her succeed. During the Covid at the end of the 2019-2020 school year, I had to switch to online instead of in person tutoring. My client of 2 years was dyslexic, and had ADHD. I was so proud of her for obtaining an A+ on her trimester exam, when French was never an easy subject for her. • Current teaching certificate in the state of Texas. • Whether you are a child or an adult (or anything in between), whether you need help on a specific topic, on vocabulary, on structure, on pronunciation, on culture, with conversation, or preparing for a test, I would be happy to schedule some sessions with you and see you grow!

1- Getting to know the student, including the student's needs and goals 2- Depending on the above, I use reading materials, mostly authentic, video clips when appropriate (sometimes without sound), worksheets, visuals, games, sticky notes, authentic physical objects (French "measuring cup" with the French units in grams/liters).

Perfect! She was fantastic! Benedicte made me feel comfortable. She also makes an effort in creating a structure beforehand so the lesson goes smoothly.

Bénédicte has been tutoring my 7 year old daughter in French since January of this year. All I can say is I'm so happy we found her. With her guidance, my daughter definitely feels a lot more confident with her French reading and comprehension. Bénédicte is patient and provides for ample opportunity for my daughter to speak. Her lessons are interactive which I think helps with retention of material. I would definitely recommend Bénédicte to anyone looking for help in French.
Prof Bénédicte and I have been working together for almost two years and she is magnificent! She is an experienced educator that knows how to structure the class to fit your specific needs. The lesson plans and learning packages she puts together are very helpful and interactive. She really puts a lot of time and effort into her students. You will advance quickly as her student!
