About Emma

Hello, I’m Emma - a university student currently studying Film in London. I’ve always had a strong curiosity and a genuine interest in how people learn. Tutoring allows me to share that enthusiasm while helping students build confidence and understanding in their subjects. I’m patient, empathetic, and well-organised, and I take care to adapt my approach to each student’s needs. My goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and enjoyable, so that progress feels natural and rewarding. Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading, exploring film, and keeping up with topics in science and physics — I’ve always loved learning across a wide range of subjects. I would love to be able to help you do so too.

About the lesson

I'm a native speaker with a strong academic background. I have a 9 in IGCSE and an A* in A-Level. My approach blends conversation, grammar, listening, and cultural insight to help you develop a well-rounded and confident use of French. Typical lessons last one hour, allowing enough time to introduce new concepts, practise them through interactive exercises, and review progress at the end of each session. Shorter lessons can be arranged for younger learners. For exam-focused students, I adapt each lesson to your specific exam board and syllabus (AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge, etc.), using past papers and targeted revision strategies to build accuracy and confidence in every skill area. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want to enjoy learning French in a relaxed way, lessons are fully customised to your pace and goals.
