About Rachma

I am an experienced and qualified teacher, specialist in MFL (French and Spanish). I also have experience teaching a variety of subjects to Primary School children as a supply teacher.
As a French native speaker I can tutor French at any levels from reception (initiating your young ones to a new language) to university level. I also teach adults from a beginner to an Advanced level.
I have an extensive experience tutoring children in most Subjects (English, Spanish, French, Maths, History, Geography and Science) for over 15 years.
I am very passionate about teaching and always make sure to tailor my tutoring to the students’ academic needs taking into account their learning styles, their pace, interests while boosting their confidence.
I use a variety of resources such as real French books (depending on the levels), online exercises, music, video, worksheets, past exams and when possible authentic resources such as leaflets, newspapers and so on, for children and adults when appropriate.
I am a patient, effective and approachable teacher as told by my colleagues and former students. I always encourage my pupils to always aim for excellence through hard work in whatever they do or learn.

About the lesson

My lessons are planned so that my students work on all 4 learning skills (Writing, Listening, Speaking, Reading and Responding) as often as possible while emphasising the objectives on the ones which are mostly adapted to my students’ needs.
I also encourage my students especially the more able ones to use their high thinking skills and reflect upon their mistakes for instance instead of just giving them the correct answers. In the first lesson, you will be assessed on all skills followed by a tailored learning programme based on your aims.
