About Leïla
I am a French native who recently moved to the UK. I am working in schools as French assistant and hoping to train in the UK to become a French teacher here. I have experience working with GCSE and A-level students. I have a degree in English and humanities. I also run a French conversation group with adults and would be open to offer French lessons to adults wanting to start learning or take their French to the next level.

My teaching method is tailored to the needs, level and age of the student. I always start by talking about the goals of the student with them, followed by a quick test to assess their level (GCSE and A-level students).
Then I tend to divide the session into three sections: conversation & listening - writing & reading - grammar, but this mostly depends on what I have agreed to work on with the student.
For adults who want to practice conversation, I tend to choose articles about French society or news and use it as a material to debate, express opinions or teach new vocabulary and expressions.
