About Olive
My passion for French grew from an interest in language, culture, and expression, leading me to earn a B.A. in French Language followed by an M.A. in Francophone Linguistics. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students from beginners to advanced learners, helping them develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence. I approach teaching with patience and encouragement, creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking and learning from mistakes. Lessons are adapted to individual goals, balancing accuracy with practical communication and cultural insight. Beyond teaching, I stay connected to French through literature, film, and linguistic study. Teaching French is rewarding because I see students gain confidence, independence, and the ability to connect meaningfully across cultures.

Intermediate learners strengthen grammar accuracy, listening comprehension, reading fluency, and conversational confidence. Advanced students refine written expression, professional communication, advanced discussion skills, and literary interpretation. Lessons include guided conversation, structured exercises, and personalized feedback to support growth.
