About Kathryn
I graduated from King's College London in August 2020 with a degree in French with English. I have worked as an English teacher in the south of France and mentored young people in the past. I work best as a supplement to main lessons/core curriculum i.e the student's school lessons and helping with homework. I'm available as a tutor in French, English (as a second language) and English Literature. I'm enthusiastic and friendly, so perfect for a beginner language learner or somebody who's trying to brush up on their speaking skills ahead of Oral exams.

My language teaching methods are geared toward developing confident speakers. I'm used to working with shy or less confident students and I prioritise engagement and enthusiasm in my lessons. In the past, my students have ranged from ages fourteen to adult learners, but I'm happy to take younger students and work with beginners. I base my lessons around an activity but I also require a certain level of participation from the student. In the case of English (as a second language) and English literature, my teaching techniques involve building vocabulary and rich expression, reading around the main text and perfecting grammar.
