About Sam
I’m Sam, and as previously said, I am a graduate in French from the University of Bristol, now studying Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. I have a passion from languages and music, borne from my multiple ethnic background and my love for the theatrical arts! I am a polyglot, speaking English, French, Turkish, Kurdish, BSL and a little Spanish and Portuguese. I have picked up a massive array of skills from my time both growing up in a multilingual household and venturing out and learning languages for myself, all really useful in everyday life, but most importantly in a pedagogical context. I have sat on the Board of Trustees for an British-based educational charity, and am passionate about learning in a fun, no-pressure and productive environment.

Bristol is ranked among the top universities for French teaching, and having spent four years there, I am all too capable of transferring the skills I learned there onto my pupils, whether it be to improve their language level, study towards exams (GCSE, A-Level and Degree-Level stuff) or just to expand their language in general.
I spent myYear Abroad in Geneva, Switzerland, studying a wide range of topics from translation right the way up to the machine learning of translation programs. My time there also ensured the perfection of mySwiss/French accent; one that is much slower than the more stereotypical Parisien accent, meaning my students are never lost or confused.
As a recent graduate myself, I am totally aware of the levels expected of each stage of French study, and having studied towards my degree during the pandemic, I am highly sensitive to the differing levels of ability as a result of it.
