About Isabelle

My passion lies in the art of teaching and the joy of learning, both of which I have skillfully combined with the immersive world of role-playing games. As a French teacher, I have honed my expertise in educating for over eight years, but my true calling is to spark enthusiasm and agency in the pursuit of knowledge. My educational journey includes a background in recreation science, complemented by specialized training in the Orton-Gillingham method. I have had the privilege of working with diverse age groups, ranging from energetic toddlers in gymnastics to fostering vibrant atmospheres in senior homes' recreational spaces. My experience extends to engaging youth centers and collaborating with elite sports teams creating an exciting tapestry of experiences in education and recreation.

About the lesson

We'll create your character, fill their adventure pack, figure out their superpower and bring them into an adventure of your choice.
A typical session starts with a recap of the last session's story and vocabulary, moving forward into the adventure, and we'll end with the student's expectations for the next session.
For students of 9 to 99 years old. Inquire with the teacher for younger or older.

Isabelle has taught engaging, playful, interesting French classes to my three children (aged 6-17) for years through a program at their school. My kids told me how much they looked forward to Isabelle's classes because the games are really great, they were SO engaged, they didn't want to miss it. And oh yeah, they learned a lot of French too! Lol!

My son started in French immersion in Kindergarten, and even in high school, I realized he was struggling to speak and comprehend French with any confidence. He had been learning to speak "classroom" French, but not real world, practical language communication skills. My son started weekly, one hour French conversation sessions with Isabelle "Zazu" in Grade 9, has continued with her into Grade 12 and his French is not only fluent, but he enjoys speaking French and takes pride in speaking a second language! Zazu always makes the sessions engaging, fun and relevant to his age and interests. I highly recommend the Zazu Method to any student of any age in French immersion. She is the best!
