About Melina

Hi! I'm Melina, and I'm currently pursuing a double major in French and International Studies at the University of Miami. I'm proud of my journey of academic excellence, especially in my advanced French courses. What I truly love about tutoring is the chance to bring energy, patience, and clarity to each session. I strive to create a positive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and explore new ideas. Families choose to work with me because I take the time to explain concepts in relatable ways and adapt to each student's unique learning style. I genuinely care about my students' progress and their overall experience with the language. My ultimate goal is not only to help students achieve higher grades but also to foster a lasting confidence and comfort with French that they can carry with them for years to come.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is personalized, supportive, and centered on ensuring that students fully understand the material. I begin each lesson by reviewing the student's assignments, goals, and upcoming assessments. From there, I identify the teaching techniques that work best for them. Since every student learns differently, I tailor each session with engaging, interactive, and visual methods to ensure that the concepts really resonate.

A typical lesson involves breaking down material step by step, practicing together, and reinforcing skills through active participation rather than relying solely on memorization. I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where mistakes are welcomed and viewed as valuable learning opportunities. There is no judgment whatsoever!

I work with middle and high school students at all levels, including those enrolled in AP French. My lessons are designed for students who want to improve their grades, build confidence, strengthen their grammar and vocabulary, and prepare for exams. My focus is on helping students develop a genuine understanding of the language and confidence in its use.
