About Alzbeta
Hello all!
My name is Betka and I'm teaching French for beginners. I study French at university, graduating next year, and I lived for one year in Brussels, Belgium, where mainly French is spoken. I am currently teaching English to two students, and I am ready to apply the same methodology for teaching French.
My lessons are normally composed of two 90 minute lessons twice a week, but I never limit myself exactly to those 90 minutes. I focus on an entertaining, relaxed atmosphere while elaborating the student's knowledge, and repeatedly working on any language problems that arise.
I prefer the practical side of the language; fluency is not a matter of grammar, but automatization, and this only comes with time and practice. This way, all aspects of a language are improved.

I start by asking a few questions to determine the level of my student(s). Then, if the student already has some knowledge, I try to have a very basic conversation, slightly challenging for their level, noting down whole sentences that come up frequently. I engage the student with the structure of the sentence and explain grammar points. I notice any weaknesses the student has and address them either after a part of a conversation, or I note them down and tackle them during the next lesson, with exercises prepared specifically for those issues.
I aim to be open throughout the whole lesson to make sure the student is comfortable, relaxed, and I keep them aware that they can always make suggestions.

I normally offer 90 minute lessons twice a week, one hour goes so fast! However, I am willing to adjust to your requirements. Travel rates will not necessarily take place, it depends on the distance.
