About Charlotte
I'm a patient, approachable tutor with great listening skills and a strong sense of empathy. I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a master's degree in Translation Studies with a focus on the translation of French and German into English. During my undergraduate degree I had to spend several months studying in both France and Germany, giving me valuable cultural knowledge and awareness of real-life language use.

I base my classes on what the student needs, bearing in mind that it's useful to make learning a somewhat enjoyable experience. I set homework where appropriate and where agreed with the student but equally I enjoy engaging in learning activities which are likely to raise a smile. I understand the difficulty with language where it is easier and more rewarding on mark schemes to say something that is false with the vocabulary you do have, and the urge to be honest and genuine when communicating in another language and I try to balance these as well as I can.

When travelling to a lesson, I rely on the bus service locally so request bus fare be paid in addition to the lesson charge to compensate for this.
