About Max
Ever since my time at school I've been helping other students understand the intuitive ideas in maths and the right exam technique to use to ensure success. I've been privately tutoring for two years now, having taught GCSE and A-level students as well as first year students while I've been at university.

Our sessions will be centred around you. We’d first identify what topics or styles of question you’d like some help with. If you know where you'd like help we would dive straight in. Otherwise, I'd ask you to work through part of a past paper and explain your thinking to me so that I can identify the areas to work on. I then think it’s useful to have a somewhat informal discussion so that the basic ideas are understood and you can gain some intuition. After that we can go through the formalities (how things should be phrased, what teachers and examiners like to see, etc.) by doing one or two examples together. Finally I'd get you to work through some more examples and get you to explain your thoughts. This will allow me to see where you are constantly so we can move at a pace that is right for you.
