About Sarah
My name is Sarah and I am a fourth-year medical student. I love learning new things, but this wasn’t always the case. My teachers were incredibly important in helping me to find out what I was truly passionate about, and their teaching approaches helped to accelerate my grades. As a recent secondary school student, I am aware of the various teaching methods that enabled me to consistently achieve A and A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and English Language. If you’re struggling to get the grades you deserve, I can help you. I am very familiar with the specifications and past papers for the exam boards I tutor, and I have additional question banks to tackle difficulties within a topic.

Hello! My name is Sarah and I'm a fourth-year medical student. I have been a tutor for 3 years and I have loved sharing my passion for my subjects with my lovely students, helping them achieve top grades. I teach KS3, GCSE and A-level online. Lessons are typically an hour long, but I'm happy for you to decide on the duration. Here's a breakdown of how I teach: For A-Level and GCSE students: > Use PowerPoint presentations, flashcard-style questions, and diagrams to encourage active recall and reinforce memory. > Follow up with exam-style questions, focusing on how to target the mark scheme for maximum marks. > Emphasise exam technique and understanding of key concepts. For KS3 and younger students: > Focus on building enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the subject through engaging explanations, real-world applications, and interactive activities. > Use visual aids, games, and storytelling to simplify complex ideas and make learning fun. > Encourage curiosity and critical thinking through open-ended questions and discussions.
