About Amy
I am a 4th-year Chemistry undergraduate student with a strong academic background in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, offering tutoring for high school students who want to improve their understanding and confidence in STEM subjects.
I understand how challenging these subjects can be and focus on helping students build confidence and a clearer understanding of the material. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult concepts at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is focused on building understanding as opposed to memorization. I break down concepts into smaller, more understandable pieces to make challenging concepts easier to follow.
I adapt my teaching style to each student's individual learning needs. For visual learners, I incorporate pictures and diagrams whenever possible. Since Chemistry and Math are largely application-based, I emphasize guided problem-solving with a gradual shift toward independent work.
I also encourage active learning by asking questions throughout the lesson to ensure the student is engaging with the material.
