About Claire

About Me

My name is Claire, and I am a qualified Foundation Phase teacher with 7 years of classroom experience working with young learners. Teaching is truly my passion, and I believe that strong foundations in English are key to a child’s confidence and future success.

I create a safe, nurturing, and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable to try, make mistakes, and grow. I understand that every child learns differently, and I take the time to adapt my teaching to suit each learner’s unique needs and pace.

I am known for being patient, kind, and supportive, while still providing structure and clear expectations. I focus not only on academic progress, but also on building self-confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

With my experience in the classroom, I have a strong understanding of curriculum expectations, early literacy development, and the challenges young learners may face. I work closely with parents, offering feedback and guidance to support learning at home.

About the lesson
