About Fiona
I am passionate about developing a love for life-long learning in students. My goal is to create a space where you feel both challenged and supported as we dive into this subject together. I am committed to clear communication, respect and I’m driven to help you succeed. I studied for 4 years and have continued to upskill myself to be able to offer more current methods to my teaching in diverse classrooms. I have taught for 19 years from age 3 to age 10. You can expect me to be prepared, responsive, and deeply invested in your progress. I strive to see students grow in confidence and be inspired to follow their goals. We are going to work hard, but we are also going to make significant strides in your professional and personal development.

I tailor instruction to meet the needs, readiness and learning style of the student. My home language is English. I use a student-centered approach that's engaging, hands-on, encouraging collaboration, developing inquiry and a love of learning. Students can expect to develop the skills and strategies to grow them into life-long learners, with clear learning goals yet flexible enough to adapt to learners' needs and areas of focus.
I am able to teach from age 4 to Grade 7 level in both Mathematics and English from the basics, learning to read & write to more advanced intonation. With my TEFL qualification, I can teach more advanced learners.
