About Ryan
I am a business analyst working in the finance industry for the past 6 years. I passed my FINRA Series 7 & 66 licensing exams, as well as level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam, and am currently preparing for the level 2 CFA exam. I am knowledgeable in financial products, micro- and macroeconomics, and financial analysis using quantitative methods and probabilities.
Prior to my career in finance, I taught the English language to students in Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore over the course of 8 years. More recently, I've tutored colleagues preparing for their FINRA licensing exams, and am currently tutoring students preparing for their CFA level 1 exam.

Each student has their own background knowledge and needs, so I do not use a set curriculum. Prior to beginning lessons, I provide a free consultation to get to know a student and understand their learning goals. Whether a college student studying finance/econ, or a professional looking to change/improve career trajectory, I tailor my lessons to each individual's circumstances. I have my own materials that I reference, but I primarily work with the materials that students are already using to make sure they learn exactly what they need to pass their course, exam, interview, etc.
Lessons are interactive, with lecturing kept to an absolute minimum in favor of hands on practice with the curriculum. Problems and concepts are worked through together, then tested to ensure understanding, and repeated as needed. Homework is normally assigned to reinforce learning between lessons. Goals and timelines are strictly adhered to, making sure that learners get everything they need within the time needed.
