About Emily
I am so excited to tutor students. I am an experienced teacher with 10 years of classroom experience in all levels, elementary through high school. I have worked with small groups and classes to increase students' reading skills to the appropriate grade level. I am a lifelong learner and love learning and will ensure the student will love learning and reading as much as I do!

I use Orton-Gillingham based approaches.
A typical lesson plan starts with a review of the previous lesson, then learning the new sound or phoneme and using a multisensory approach showing the student how to write and use each sound properly.
I have a reading masters degree and experience teaching students with special needs is what sets me apart.
The lessons are for students that are learning to read and who are struggling to read.
