About the lesson

I adapt to the student, and my methodology varies depending on age, level, etc. But as a rule, my lessons are built around the following:
- in mathematics I place GREAT emphasis on logic and deep understanding. I have very good control over what I teach, and can explain things in detail. With me, you do not have to memorize the 20+ formulas that are in the book in the chapters percent, probability, etc. We avoid learning techniques, and rather develop methods in the subject. I do not use a book, everything is in my head.
- Particularly relevant for lower level: I try to connect mathematics with other subjects: history, IT, geopolitics, etc. It gives students the opportunity to experience the subject from a different angle, and they often become more curious and interested in the subject .
- The lessons should preferably be fun.
- The main point is that the student should become independent eventually. I have many students who I started with 2 hours a week and who eventually only call me for deliveries, tests and exams. When we practice the method and the understanding, it becomes less and less necessary with private tuition.
