Hey! I’m Bryn, a senior Math Tutor turned Independent Game Developer. I love teaching because of the satisfaction of seeing students excel, and I firmly believe in learning through participation and making mistakes. Hey! I don’t believe in learning as a spectator sport, so I teach math and computer science as a series of practical exercises where mistakes are welcome and constant incremental improvements are the goal.
I teach Math typically in 60min sessions, and have spent 5 years teaching all ages between years 1-13, both in a 1-1 and group setting. The content depends on you and your interests, but I’m happy and experienced in teaching anything from times-tables to calculus and can generated practical exercises from my own syllabus. If requested, I can also teach 100-level math following the syllabus from Otago University.
For those interested in learning a programming language or attempting 100-level computer science, I’m fluent in a range of languages including C++, Java, Python and C#. Again, the content will depend on you and your interests, but I’m happy to generate exercises and teach based on my own practical syllabus if requested.
