About Rian
Math has always been my favorite subject because I see it as a puzzle, and I love the satisfaction of putting all the pieces together. With a degree in Elementary Education and experience teaching middle school mathematics, I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. With a degree in Elementary Education and experience teaching 7th and 8th grade Pre-Algebra, I provide patient, personalized support for Grades 4–8. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, beginning with a quick review, followed by clear instruction, guided practice, and independent problems to build confidence. I specialize in fractions and decimals (converting and calculating), percentages (discounts and tax), equations (one, two, and multi-step), exponents (laws of exponents), conversions (mixed numbers and improper fractions), graphing (coordinate pairs and slope), and everyday math (tips, money, and place value). My classroom experience allows me to break down challenging concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.
