My Tutoring Approach
My approach to tutoring focuses on helping students understand the concepts behind mathematics, not just memorize formulas. I break down complex problems into simple, step-by-step explanations and encourage students to think through the logic of each solution. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace to build both confidence and problem-solving skills.
Teaching Method
I use a combination of concept explanation, guided practice, and independent problem solving. Students first learn the key idea behind a topic, then we work through examples together before they try similar problems on their own. This method helps reinforce understanding and improves accuracy.
A typical lesson includes:
A quick review of previous material or homework
Clear explanation of the new concept
Working through practice problems together
Independent practice with feedback
A brief summary of key points
I focus on clarity, patience, and building strong fundamentals. My goal is to help students understand why a solution works so they can confidently solve similar problems on their own.
My lessons are ideal for middle school and high school students who need help with Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus/Calculus, homework support, or test preparation, as well as students who want to strengthen their math foundation and improve their confidence in math.
