About Keyah

I started tutoring because I really enjoy explaining things clearly and helping others build confidence in subjects they struggle with. I also have a younger brother going into Year 11 who I regularly tutor, over the past couple of years I have really seen him improve in his grades and his confidence and has become more familiar with the content and exam mark schemes. Seeing him grow as a student sparked a passion for tutoring and helping students achieve the grades they are aiming for.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck or unsure before an exam, and I believe sometimes all you need is a different perspective or a few tricks to unlock understanding. My goal is to help students feel less stressed and more in control of their learning—while also improving their grades.

Because I’ve been through the current system myself, I can offer tips, resources, and revision methods that really work—especially for GCSEs. I’m passionate about teaching, and I’d love to help.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Keyah, and I’m an 18-year-old former A-Level student. Unlike older tutors who may be years removed from school, I’ve just been through the GCSE and A-level system myself. I know exactly what it’s like to face confusing topics, mark schemes, and exam pressure—because I’ve lived it recently. That means my teaching is fresh, relatable, and tailored to how students actually learn today. I use numerous study techniques to get good grades at A level and can apply these to help my students get top grades. I will support my students in boosting their grades, building confidence and really understanding the material—not just memorise it. I offer clear explanations using the methods that helped me succeed as well as practice questions, exam technique coaching, and study tips, support with homework, mock exam prep, or full subject revision. As well as I can help build study habits and give good revision tips. I specialise in tutoring GCSE students (Year 9–11), but I’m also happy to support younger students with Key Stage 3 content. My timetable is flexible and I offer 1-to-1 online or in-person tutoring sessions.
