About Shannon

For 7 years I taught high school math (Geometry, Algebra 1, Precalculus), Physics, and AP Computer Science at a grade A school in Florida. Every year I had former students returning for help with their other math classes. I then transitioned into software engineering where I worked as a self-taught full stack developer. I decided to travel the world after that and have since visited 13 new countries.

I have a way of breaking down complex information into tangible parts and taking the time to help students understand each step, creating a foundation for future understanding. I genuinely enjoy problem-solving and create a fun, collaborative environment where students feel safe to be themselves and make mistakes as they grow and learn.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each individual based on their needs, preferences, and learning style.

I am patient and fun and focus on problem-solving strategies that help students continue growing as learners beyond the subject/content we initially focus on. I am open to students of all ages.
