About Cyndi
My students just call me “Coach!” They understand that I am like their soccer or basketball coach in that I am here to help them learn skills in order to make playing the “game of school” easier and more fun.
I enjoy getting to know my students on a personal level and making them feel comfortable enough to ask questions and share their thoughts!
As a former classroom teacher, I know what is expected of students and I set them up for success!

As a tutor of 15 years, I have specialized in helping students become successful, confident readers (even those with dyslexia) using proven methods and interesting materials so they don’t become bored.
I also enjoy making 6th- and 7th-grade math concepts easy to understand for those who find math tedious.
My lesson plans are well thought out so that students can see their progress almost right away and that momentum helps fuel them forward.

Cyndi (Coach) was recommended for my son in the 4th grade to help with reading and writing. Cyndi and my son connected so well together, we are still working with her several years later. Cyndi now helps my son with writing essays and getting down the fundamentals of paragraph and essay structure. She has been such a big help with his reading as well. Reading out loud really teaches kids how to be better readers. She is genuinely interested in his activities and really connects with him on his level.
