About Stephanie
I began my teaching career working with middle school students with special needs. I then went on to teach kindergarten and third grade, and currently substitute at the elementary level. I have privately tutored several students, and am comfortable working with a variety of ability levels.

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and master's degree in Educational Leadership. I am certified to teach students from birth to age 11, but have tutored high school students in the past. I believe that developing a strong rapport and relationship is essential to student success. Students are more willing to try difficult things if they feel comfortable. I determine exactly where a student is academically (either via personal assessments/observations or meeting with current teachers) and then base our lesson structure from this information.
