About Fryal
I am a sophomore at Fordham University majoring in Biological Sciences on the pre-med track with a minor in Psychology. As a current college student, I understand the challenges that come with balancing coursework and preparing for exams, and I'm passionate about helping others overcome those challenges.
I strive to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes. Every lesson is tailored to the student's goals, whether they're building foundational skills, improving grades, or preparing for an important exam.
I believe that confidence is just as important as knowledge. My goal is not only to help students understand the material but also to equip them with effective study habits and problem-solving skills they can use long after our tutoring sessions. I am committed to being reliable, well-prepared, and invested in each student's success.

As a Biological Sciences major at Fordham University on the pre-med track with a minor in Psychology, I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. My goal is to make learning approachable by breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps while adapting each lesson to the student's individual learning style.
My teaching approach focuses on building a strong understanding of the fundamentals before tackling more advanced material. A typical lesson begins with a review of previous topics and any questions the student may have. From there, I introduce new concepts using clear explanations, examples, and practice problems, making sure the student understands the "why" behind each answer. I also provide study tips, test-taking strategies, and methods to improve long-term retention so students can become more confident and independent learners.
I tutor Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Algebra, and English. I can help with homework, exam preparation, class assignments, study plans, and mastering difficult topics. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether they need help catching up, improving grades, or preparing for an upcoming test.
I work with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as college freshmen taking introductory science, math, or English courses. My patient, encouraging teaching style and firsthand experience as a current pre-med student allow me to relate to students and explain difficult material in a way that is clear, engaging, and effective. My goal is not only to help students achieve better academic results but also to build the confidence and skills they need to succeed on their own.

To me, Fryal is not just a tutor, but a friend who truly cares about seeing you succeed. She helped me through Chemistry, and she has this incredible ability to take really confusing, heavy concepts and break them down so they just click. Her lessons are super interactive, you’re never just sitting there listening to a dry lecture; she keeps you involved, asks questions, and makes the whole process genuinely fun. What I appreciated most was how vigilant and on top of things she was during our sessions. She picks up right away if you're subtly struggling, stays totally focused on your progress, and creates a space where you never feel bad for asking questions. If you want a tutor who will boost your confidence and actually help you master a subject without dying of boredom, Fryal is definitely the one to go with!
