About Aurora
I’m a chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and hold an MSc in Organic Chemistry. My teaching blends core chemical principles with practical forensic applications, offering a unique and engaging learning experience. I specialise in integrating forensic chemistry and toxicology into lessons—perfect for students interested in real-world impact. From analysing trace evidence to understanding the chemistry behind poisons, I guide learners through the tools used in modern investigations. We’ll break down complex ideas like NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy in a way that makes sense. I use real lab examples to show how these methods are used to identify, quantify, and analyse substances. If you're working with chromatography or quantitative analysis techniques, I’ll guide you through the reasoning behind each step—not just the procedures. I regularly support students from genetics, microbiology, and biomedical backgrounds. I help them build a solid understanding of the chemistry behind the techniques they use. From pipetting accuracy to interpreting spectra, my sessions connect chemistry to your lab work. Questions are always welcome, and lessons move at your pace. My focus is on helping you become confident and capable in the lab. I explain things simply, without skipping the important details.
