About Gomes
Hi, my name is Choitali but my students know me as Tali. I've been teaching officially for 11 years (started in 2014 at the Huntington Learning Center in NY) and unofficially since college for peer tutoring at Stony Brook University. In my time at Huntington, I've helped students in middle to high school math, biology/chemistry, SAT/ACT test prep, ASVAB, high school entrance exams, and college essays both in person and online. I also worked as an independent contractor for years teaching in home. I also worked for a year at C2 in Gillette, NJ as well as in home.
I specialize in Math (pre-algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, trigonometry, geometry, and precalc) and science (biology and chemistry). In my day job, I work as a behavior therapist for preschool age kids with special needs and have experience teaching kids/adults with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD.
