About John
I am former United States Navy. I have a high school diploma, a cooking certificate from US Navy cooking school San Diego, Certificate of completion from Diesel Driving Academy- truck driving school. I have been an electrician, janitor, waterjetting and industrial waste removal expert. I have attended several Universities including UNO. More importantly I have read everything from Big Red Rock Eater and Other Jokes and Go Dog Go to Stephen King. I am currently reading several books (not everyone can do this) including Siddhartha, Sydney Rye mysteries, and Marcel Proust's Swann's Way.

First we will sit down and get an idea of where your abilities are. We will discuss your interests, trade or job and goals you may have and I will come up with suggestions for books, magazines, newspapers, internet, or whatever interests you to start off. From there we will work together to raise your reading level as high as you want to go. I am a great teacher but an even better learner and any teacher who cannot learn from their students is not a teacher. Men, women, non-native or native speaking, lbqt welcome! Don't worry about goals if you don't feel you have any we will work together to develop them and then we will achieve them together!
