About Lucy
I am a 22 year old singer and guitarist (or musician to give a shorter, less beat-around-the-bush title). I have been playing guitar and doing grades since the age of 7 and I had achieved a Grade 8 by the age of 17.
Now, I use my guitar to accompany my singing and my hobbies include but are not limited to; recording my vocals and posting online, and performing at musical events and open mic nights. I also would like to get into busking and am in the process of gaining permission to do so.

My approach to teaching guitar is based on helping learners to convey emotion and to put their own unique twist in their playing.
Every musician has their own musical upbringing, where different sounds they listened to growing up have shaped their current musical interests. My job is to help my players to learn guitar and to discover their own musical preferences which will enable them to connect to their music and to captivate any audience with their playing.
Playing guitar properly and well, as with anything is all about self belief and if I can get my learners to believe in their own ability, then we are atleast half way there!
Of course, guitar playing is not all about performing on stage or in front of an audience, and my job is also to teach individuals who enjoy playing guitar as a hobby. For me, guitar playing has always been something that relaxes me when I feel stressed for instance, so I hope to help others to achieve the same sort of satisfaction!
