About Brandon
I am a dedicated flute tutor who loves helping students develop their musical abilities with confidence and creativity. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking to guide students effectively. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while encouraging expressive musicality. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to develop complete musicianship. Creativity is emphasised through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. I help students set goals, practice consistently, and track their progress. Mistakes are treated as natural learning opportunities and chances for growth. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, level, and personal interests. I act as a mentor, offering guidance, motivation, and constructive feedback.

My goal is to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for music. I also teach related subjects such as performance preparation, rhythm, and theory. My flute teaching approach focuses on creativity, guidance, and steady progress. I believe that music should inspire curiosity, expression, and personal growth. Each lesson encourages students to explore musical ideas while improving technical skill. I act as a mentor who supports students and motivates them to achieve their goals. Accountability is a key part of my teaching—I help students stay consistent and track their progress. Lessons include tone exercises, rhythm practice, breath control, and phrasing. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to develop complete musicianship. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composing, and experimenting with different styles.
Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities and stepping stones to improvement. My teaching is flexible, adjusting to each student’s pace, skill level, and interests. I emphasise critical thinking and reflection in every class. I create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore. I also teach related subjects such as theory and performance skills. I aim to make each lesson fun, productive, and inspiring. My goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and independent musicians who enjoy every step of their journey.
