About Zeina
I’m a 21-year-old half British, half Egyptian university student at the University of Winchester. After spending 17 years in Egypt, I moved to England in 2021 to pursue my passion for Film Production. I have some experience teaching Arabic students, and I love making learning fun! When I'm not studying, you can find me singing or hip-hop dancing. Aside from this, I have worked in 2 restaurants as a waitress, one of which the staff were all Arabic speakers so it felt like a home away from home type of environment. I want to teach students because when I came to England for the first time, I felt a little bit out of place due to the difference in my English and other students, so what I did was I worked very hard to be able to speak proper English and I want Arabic speakers to be able to feel seen and included, not excluded because of their language barrier. I helped teach a Syrian girl whilst being a sixth form student, and the joy I saw on her face when she got answers correct was unmatched. That is why I want to help!
