About Tilly
Hi, I have just finished my first year of Maths at the University of Birmingham having got a first in my first year at university. I am a former pupil of Highgate School, leaving with A*'s in maths and further maths at A level.
I have previously had experience with helping peers with maths exam prep, having always found maths a exciting and enjoyable subject. This, as a result, has helped me provide alternative guidance and different approaches to maths quesions that best suit the student.
My previous teachers have shown me that, whilst at times maths can seem boring and repetitive, there are always ways to make it more fun, exciting and interesting.

I am looking to do some tutoring from secondary school level to GCSE either online or in person and am happy to continue into next academic year online when I return to university in Birmingham.
With maths tutoring, I think it is important to identify the student’s weaker topics, help them to understand those topics and fill in any knowledge gaps, keeping it as fun as possible, together with exam practice. It is also important to boost/maintain the student’s confidence with class work and their stronger topics at the same time.
Lesson lengths will depend upon the individual student and what best fits their needs.
