About Dahyun
Hi! I am Dahyun, and I’m currently a first year student at LSE studying BSc Economics. I was the salutatorian of our graduating class. I got an IB score of 43 (7776 HL, 76 SL) and SAT score of 1560 (800 Maths, 760 English).
*IB subjects taken: HL: Maths AA, Economics, Japanese B, History (6). SL: Chemistry, English Lit (6). EE: A, TOK: B. *Honours: commendation in John Locke essay competition in philosophy, 2nd place in the regionals in the National History Day paper division, published a paper in a student journal.
Apart from LSE, I also was notably offered a place from UCLA and the University of Kyoto (top university in Japan) with a full scholarship.
I am from South Korea but grew up in Japan, so I have an international and open-minded perspective.
I am very passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. As I also went through the struggles of middle/high school years, I understand how you are feeling right now and will help you eventually succeed.

I have 2+ years experience tutoring middle and high school students, as I have led voluntary tutoring sessions helping underclassmen.
I will prepare a detailed study plan for students and guide them to comprehend the topics fully in preparation for any assignments/exams.
I can also offer advice on university applications (UK & US & Japan), including extracurriculars/supercurriculars, personal statement, and Common App essays.
