About Ezekiel
My qualifications include a 99.00 ATAR, 2560 UCAT, and over 200 hours of supporting students through private lessons, independent tutoring and volunteer mentorship. But my greatest qualification comes from my personal experience:
After receiving admission to Perth Modern School in Year 7, I initially struggled to adjust to a more academically competitive environment. I found myself surrounded by students who seemed to have everything figured out, yet for the first time in my life I couldn't see the progress I expected. I realized that academic success isn't just about intelligence; I had to learn how to learn. I had to develop my own learning habits, discipline, and genuine understanding, all without a guidebook.
Through years of refining my own approach, I achieved multiple merit, excellence, and course awards across many subjects including French, Mathematics, and English. I also discovered a love for teaching. Late night library sessions with friends and volunteer tutoring after school with Mod Mentors showed me just how much I enjoyed sharing my understanding with others. Experimenting with everything from mnemonics to analogies and metaphors, I began to see each student as a puzzle to understand, adapting and refining my methods to match their thought process and strengths.
I believe that learning is a personal journey every student must embark on. However, the best learning method is the one that works for you. It builds confidence, encourages questions, and turns challenges into opportunities for growth. Students who do well can push themselves to learn, but students who excel become comfortable with the process of learning.

The most successful students make the most mistakes and ask the most questions. Thus, they learn the most.
My approach is centered on creating a supportive learning environment where education is as approachable as possible. For my students, learning becomes a daily habit like brushing your teeth in the morning. This comfort removes the barriers around learning, allowing students to build confidence and achieve meaningful academic growth.
I can never promise a student who gets every question right. I can promise to help create a student who understands why their answers are right. Because when understanding comes first, strong performance naturally follows.
Each 1 or 2-hour interactive lesson, is specifically designed to help students find the most effective ways to overcome their individual challenges. I'm patient and happy to explain ideas from multiple perspectives until something finally "clicks". Beyond content, I focus on developing critical reasoning skills that allow students to think independently and apply existing knowledge to unfamiliar problems.
